  3. By using the following Windows 3.1 Driver Library
  4. (the "Software"), you are hereby agreeing to the
  5. included license agreement.  Please review the
  6. file LICENSE.TXT.

  8. Installing the Joystick Driver
  9. ----------------------------
  10. Follow the instructions given in "Installing a 
  11. Driver Not Supplied with Windows," in Chapter 5,
  12. "Control Panel," in the "Microsoft Windows User's
  13. Guide." When you are requested to insert the disk
  14. containing the setup information, insert the disk
  15. you made during the downloading procedure, or
  16. type the path of the directory where you
  17. downloaded the driver.

  19. Installation note:
  20. --------------------
  21. When the IBM Joystick Driver is installed or removed via the
  22. Control Panel Drivers applet, Windows needs to be restarted
  23. before the driver installation/removal is recognized by the
  24. Control Panel.

  26. If Windows is not restarted whenever the Joystick driver is
  27. installed, an information panel indicating "No Joystick Driver
  28. is Installed" shows up when the Joystick applet is invoked.

  30. Joystick Applet
  31. ---------------
  32. The joystick applet is a utility for calibrating the joystick.
  33. Copy the the joystick applet (joystick.cpl) to the
  34. Windows system subdirectory.  This will cause Windows to
  35. create a corresponding joystick icon in Control Panel.

  37. Joystick Performance
  38. --------------------
  39. The Joystick driver may not produce precise results
  40. on all computer systems.  The performance of the
  41. joystick driver is largely dependent upon the device
  42. itself.  Microsoft does not guarantee that the joystick
  43. driver will work with all computer systems and/or joystick
  44. devices.
